Michael McDavitt

Michael McDavitt joined ARB Productions, Inc. in April 2006 as a Co-Director & Partner of Arlene Borromeo, and concentrated his initial efforts on the development and completion of the “Canario” and “Bear, Bray & Brumble” projects. In particular, he lent his talents as a writer, collaborating with Ms. Borromeo on the “Canario” storyline and screenplay, as well as 26 “Bear, Bray & Brumble” television scripts and a book prototype that cater to pre-school market.

 

Mr. McDavitt can also be credited as a skilled reality television producer, producing “America’s Most Pampered Pets” – a television pilot about America’s obsession with pampering their pets; “Fashion Cents” – a closet fashion makeover show hosted by Chris March of Bravo’s “Project Runway”; and “The Champion” – a pilot with actress Bo Derek on the sport of eventing.

 

Prior to ARB, he served as President of the Talent Management Division and Director of Television & Film Development for The Matthau Company in Los Angeles. In the Talent Management Division, Mr. McDavitt was responsible for scouting and securing a select group of talent for agency representation, and considering them for upcoming television and film productions. As Director of Television & Film Development, he promoted and marketed the careers of the legendary actor, Walter Matthau, and his son, Charlie Matthau, a rising film and television Director. In this position, he negotiated media projects with top film, broadcast and cable network executives, as well as independent producers and screenwriters.

 

Mr. McDavitt is also a seasoned and respected publicist and communications specialist, affiliated with such prestigious firms as Takashimaya New York, De Vries Public Relations, Nike Communications and Lippe Taylor.

 

In February 2011, he was elected by the stockholders of ARB to serve as the new Chairman & Secretary, taking a leadership role in the company and setting high expectations for its continued growth, diversity and success.
